1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how the Full Page Screenshot extension handles information when you capture screenshots, edit images, record your screen, and use PRO checkout features.

2. Data processed by the extension

The extension can process the following categories of data:

  • Captured page images (visible, full-page, selected area).
  • Capture metadata used by editor tools (URL, page title, timestamp).
  • Temporary recording files when using screen recording (PRO).
  • Local plan state and feature flags (for Free/PRO UI behavior).

3. Where data is stored

  • Screenshot/edit handoff data is stored locally in chrome.storage.local.
  • Recording previews are stored locally in indexedDB until you download or clear them.
  • We do not run a first-party cloud upload pipeline for captured image/video content in the core extension workflow.

4. Permissions and why they are used

The extension requests permissions declared in manifest.json, including:

  • activeTab, scripting, and <all_urls> to run capture flows.
  • storage to keep local session and editor state.
  • downloads to save PNG/PDF/WEBM files you export.
  • tabCapture, desktopCapture, offscreen, and windows for recording and full-page stitching flows.

5. PRO billing and third-party services

PRO checkout and entitlement status are handled through ExtensionPay. Payment and account data required for billing is processed by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

6. Data retention

Local capture/edit data remains in your browser profile until replaced, downloaded, or cleared by the extension/browser storage lifecycle.

7. Security

We use the browser extension sandbox model and local storage mechanisms provided by Chrome. No system can guarantee absolute security, but access is limited to extension runtime context and declared permissions.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when product behavior, permissions, or provider integrations change. The "Last updated" date above will be revised when updates are published.
